Sales and Customer Service Associate

SALES & Safe Work - Hourly Commission ($23-$26 / hr Commission)

Location: Windsor Locks with some options in the Woodstock or Norwich locations

Dexter’s Best is looking for a team member that has the same energy, meticulous focus to detail, and customer service level on which we have built our reputation. Dexter’s is the premier home, gun, and commercial safe outfit in Connecticut and neighboring counties in adjacent states.

As a sales specialist, days will consist of working with customers in person, fielding store phone calls, and working with customers over web correspondence. Responsibilities may also include working to keep on-going jobs and sales organized, managing and receiving inventory safes at the warehouse, keeping the showroom looking beautiful, preparing safes for delivery, building/thinking through unique delivery situations, and providing customers an exceptional buying experience. Assisting with safe deliveries and relocations won’t necessarily happen every week, but the applicant may be required to help from time-to-time. There are a number of ways we can shift tasks around our small company, so the applicant's interests, location, and skillset will help determine how much of this position is done at the Windsor Locks retail location versus other locations and/or on the road as part of a delivery technician team. It may be helpful to cover a shift here and there at other locations.

REQUIREMENTS:

-Every Other weekend at the Windsor Locks store

-Every Other Friday at the Windsor Locks store

-Interest in Sales and excitement

- Computer proficiency with simple spreadsheets (Google Sheets), invoicing software (Quickbooks Online) and Google Suite

- Emailing and professional grammar

- Texting and using phone/tablet applications

- Working efficiently and autonomously

Including growing brand awareness and exposure.

- Outstanding communication

- Being able to multitask throughout the day

- Using basic hand tools like drills, screwdrivers, pliers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Able to do the following to complete a task: Bending, carrying, climbing stairs, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, sitting, standing, walking. (We use specialized equipment that does the heavy lifting of the safes, but there is a required level of physicality on deliveries)

- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain

- The ability to lift 25-50 pounds regularly

- Able to handle time spent on concrete floors in warehouse
