Vice President of Product Management

We are seeking an experienced VP of Product Management – Technology Solutions to lead and drive the strategic direction of technology offerings. Our client, a leader in the retirement investment and financial services sector, is looking for a dynamic executive to oversee the full product lifecycle—from strategy and roadmap development to design, launch, and ongoing performance optimization.

This leader will work closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to foster innovation and excellence across technology platforms. By developing and executing strategic product initiatives, they will play a pivotal role in delivering impactful solutions to users while advancing the organization’s long-term goals.

What You Will Do

• Define and own product goals, setting clear KPIs that align with company priorities. Lead teams to deliver outcomes that support strategic growth.
• Champion a customer-first, results-driven culture by fostering collaboration and building strong relationships across the organization.
• Stay informed on market trends, user behaviors, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies to guide product strategy and priorities.
• Work closely with engineering leadership to ensure seamless integration of product development, design, and technology initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, sales, finance, legal, and executive teams to deliver cohesive and impactful customer experiences.
• Partner with sales, operations, and client-facing teams to gather user insights and develop solutions that address key business challenges.
• Oversee the full lifecycle of product initiatives—from ideation and strategic planning to execution, feature development, and release management.
• Utilize customer research methods, including surveys and live interviews, to shape user experiences and improve engagement.
• Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of product managers, ensuring strong execution and professional growth within the team.
• Manage additional product-related initiatives and responsibilities as needed.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• 10 years in product management within a technology-driven organization, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
• Experience supporting technology products in financial services, wealth management, or retirement platforms is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated success in leading agile product development and scaling technology solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to challenge assumptions and drive informed decision-making.
• Hands-on experience managing high-performing products using agile methodologies and best practices for iterative development.
• Solid understanding of user experience design, API integrations, web development, and continuous delivery principles.
• Proven ability to operate in ambiguity, make data-driven decisions with incomplete information, and lead initiatives across functions without direct authority.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and delivering measurable results.
• Proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis to support product strategy.
• Strong presentation skills, with experience articulating product strategies to both internal teams and external partners.
• Ability to travel up to 20% as required.
