As the Vice President of Product Management, you will be a key leader in driving product innovation and excellence within our market dominating suite of products. Operating at the forefront of product management, you will lead and mentor product teams to deliver impactful solutions that drive customer satisfaction and business growth whilst advocating a culture of innovation, determination, imagination, and respect. We are looking for a highly entrepreneurial Product Leader to help innovate and execute product development, and we value moving quickly. You will be globally responsible for developing a clear product strategy and roadmap to deliver product innovations from concept to release. Additionally, you will work closely with the executive team to define and shape the long-term future of our products as we respond to the continually shifting market and customer landscape. This role is highly cross-functional, partnering closely with peers and other senior stakeholders including engineers, architects, designers, data scientists, and researchers to build exceptional products that deliver on our mission to "make work human."
**This is a hybrid role that requires at least 3 days per week onsite in our (brand new!) Framingham, MA office**
Primary duties & responsibilities:
- Providing strategic direction, inspiration and vision for the product management team, setting clear goals and priorities to ensure alignment with business objectives whilst driving product innovation and differentiation.
- Developing and executing product strategies aligned with business objectives and market needs, balancing short-term and long-term goals, and managing trade-offs.
- Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing product management team providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and professional growth.
- Providing strategic direction, inspiration and vision for the product management team, setting clear goals and priorities to ensure alignment with business objectives whilst driving product innovation and differentiation.
- Developing and executing product strategies aligned with business objectives and market needs, balancing short-term and long-term goals, and managing trade-offs.
- Building, mentoring, and leading a high-performing product management team providing guidance, coaching, and support to drive performance and professional growth.
Required skills and experience:
- 15 years of successful business leadership contributing to and blending product strategy, product management, and product marketing activities.
- Proven track record of product innovation changing the dynamics of an existing or emerging market.
- Experience working in an enterprise cloud-based environment focusing on B2C is highly desired.
- An ability to develop and communicate a clear product vision and strategy that aligns with the overall strategic goals of the company.
- Experienced leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to design an organizational structure that inspires and motivates teams to meet business needs.
- Demonstrated success in developing and executing go-to-market strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to listen, influence and gather consensus and champion the best ideas.
- Works collaboratively at all levels and fosters a collegiate environment and culture with peers and other stakeholder groups.
- Analyze situations objectively, diagnose problems, identify key issues and be self-assured to act decisively and promptly.
- Strong project management skills to drive timely and successful transformational projects and product launches.
- HR software experience would be an advantage but not essential.
- Active participation in client management, sales, and marketing opportunities, including speaking engagements and serving as a product evangelist to customers and large sales opportunities.
- Ability to travel 30% domestically and internationally to clients, partners, Workhuman offices, and sales opportunities.
