SUMMARY
The Event Attendant plays a key role in ensuring the success of events by providing support in various capacities, including setup, guest assistance, traffic control, and food service coordination. This position requires a highly adaptable individual who can handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, proactive, and able to contribute to the smooth execution of events of all sizes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with event setup and breakdown, including tables, chairs, signage, and equipment.
- Greet and direct guests, providing excellent customer service and answering event-related questions.
- Support vendors, exhibitors, and event organizers with logistical needs.
- Monitor event spaces to ensure cleanliness, organization, and smooth operations.
- Assist with traffic control and parking management, ensuring smooth vehicle flow and guest safety.
- Help with crowd control, ticketing, and access management as needed.
- Support food service operations, including setting up food stations, assisting with catering needs, and ensuring food areas remain stocked and clean.
- Provide technical and operational support (e.g., A/V setup, microphone handling, stage assistance).
- Address guest concerns and escalate any issues to the Event Coordinator or Manager.
- Support promotional activities such as distributing event materials or assisting with marketing activations.
- Ensure compliance with safety and event policies, responding quickly to any incidents or emergencies.
Qualifications

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to lift and move event materials (tables, chairs, signage, etc.).
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Weekend, evening, and holiday availability required, depending on event schedules.
- Experience or willingness to learn traffic control procedures and food service operations.
- Previous experience in events, hospitality, food service, or customer service is a plus but not required.
