Job Overview: We are looking for a dedicated and versatile Venue & Bar Attendant to join our team on weekends only. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of events held at our venue. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing events as needed, as well as tending the bar when required.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and versatile Venue & Bar Attendant to join our team. This role is crucial to the success of events at our venue, as it involves a combination of event oversight, bar tending, and venue maintenance. The ideal candidate will be capable of handling a variety of tasks to ensure that each event runs smoothly and meets our high standards for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Event Setup and Strike:
- Set up events, which includes lifting and arranging banquet tables, chairs, furniture, linens, and decorations.
- Break down all furniture and decorations, fold table linens, remove chair sashes, candles, and disassemble tables and chairs as needed after events.
- Assist with setting up chafing dishes, sternos, and tableware.
2. Bar Management:
- Tend the bar during events, providing prompt and courteous service to guests.
- Mix drinks, serve beverages, and monitor alcohol consumption in compliance with all regulations.
- Clean and maintain bar equipment and surfaces before, during, and after each event.
3. Venue Maintenance:
- Clean and organize the venue, restrooms, break area, and warehouse before, during, and after each event.
- Restock supplies, organize, sweep, mop, vacuum, and wipe down all areas of the facility.
- Dispose of trash throughout the venue and warehouse before, during, and after events.
4. Event Monitoring and Customer Service:
- Monitor events to ensure all venue policies are upheld and to prevent safety hazards.
- Serve food during events using safe food handling practices, and assist with cutting and serving cake.
- Be attentive to clients’ and guests’ needs, providing excellent customer service.
5. Support Tasks:
- Assist the Venue Coordinator as requested with various tasks to support event operations.
- Create balloon sculptures, including inflating latex and foil balloons and assembling arches, garlands, columns, and centerpieces.
- Steam and fold linens, assemble centerpieces and decorations, and maintain supplies in clean and working order.
- Ensure the organization of the warehouse by regularly stocking and organizing supplies.
- Clean and polish glassware and tableware to maintain high standards of hygiene.
Qualifications:
- Experience in event setup, bartending, or venue management is preferred.
- Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as tables, chairs, and bar supplies.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Knowledge of safe food handling and responsible alcohol service.
Additional Information:
We allow clients to bring their own drinks to events, and our bartenders are responsible for handling and serving these beverages in compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Schedule: Weekends only as-needed, primarily closing shifts. Shifts may last between 4-10 hours. Our operating hours are 8 am to 2 am.

- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Must provide the following uniform for all shifts: black slacks, black non-slip shoes, professional black shirt (button down or polo) or assigned company polo shirt.
