DFC Company (Dakota Fence, 3D Specialties, Sign Solutions USA, Dakota Playground, Park & Play USA, Town & Country Fence, Dakota Unlimited, West River Striping, SAAFE/Stadium Steve, DFC Property Management) is a growing specialty contractor primarily involved in residential/commercial fence, highway guardrail, fabrication, and commercial playground construction, bleacher installation, as well as traffic control services and pavement marking. We provide services to homeowners, commercial businesses, and government entities. Shift and Time: Monday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Summary:
- Provide fabrication estimates and cost analysis for customers.
- Create detailed shop drawings using AutoCAD for manufacturing and approval.
- Collaborate with customers, contractors, and engineers to verify project specifications and field measurements.
- Analyze blueprints, construction documents, and proposals to determine material and labor requirements.
- Estimate costs for materials, equipment, subcontracted work, and labor.
- Manage project timelines, maintain appointment schedules, and track follow-ups.
- Integrate computer-aided design (CAD) programs with organizational data.
- Interpret technical instructions and adjust designs to meet project needs.
- Assist project management, engineering, and other departments with technical tasks.
- Communicate with clients, architects, designers, and production teams.
- Work efficiently with a high sense of urgency.
- Represent the company positively to internal and external stakeholders.
- Participate in professional development and training.
- Identify market trends and growth opportunities.
- Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- BS or associate degree in Sales, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited college is desired.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- Construction or a related industry knowledge and experience preferred.
- Experience with bids and estimating preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred. Experience with Take-off software (Bluebeam, etc.) is a plus.
