Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Superintendent to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of concrete work, including mixing, pouring, and finishing, while adhering to safety standards and project specifications. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of job sites by clearing debris and ensuring a safe working environment.
- Mix, pour, and finish concrete according to project specifications and blueprints.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements.
- Operate hand tools and machinery safely and efficiently.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure quality control throughout the concrete pouring process.
- Follow OSHA safety regulations and guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and materials for quality assurance.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used on-site.
Requirements
- Previous experience in concrete labor or related construction field is preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards is essential.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics effectively.
- Familiarity with construction management tools such as ProCore is a plus.
- Understanding of budgeting principles related to construction projects is beneficial.
- Experience with quality control processes in construction settings is desirable.
- Proficiency in using an ohmmeter for electrical aspects related to concrete work is advantageous.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively on-site.
- Physical ability to perform manual labor for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials.
