Job Overview
Under general supervision of the or Supervisor-Employee Parking Office investigates complaints pertaining to parking charges, pursues collection of parking revenue, and prepares and maintains a variety of records, reports and correspondence. Issues, maintains and controls parking hang tags, decals devices and/or other documents required to access employee parking areas. Assigns and records parking privileges for tenants, contractors, Airport Board employees and others. Maintains required inventories and supports the Parking Guest Relations Section.
What you will be doing:
Enters data into automated control system to maintain inventory of parking placards, decals, devices and/or other documents and items; maintains system through data entry of changes and deletions.
Investigates guest complaints and takes appropriate action, including refund and/or waiver of fees, as authorized. If amount is over level of authority, recommends action to the Manager Parking Guest Relations or Supervisor of the Employee Parking Office provides supporting documentation and justification for recommendation.
Works closely with DFW Finance to determine the validity of fees incurred by employees. Manages company paid parking applications in a timely manner. Receives and resolves, or refers, customer requests regarding employee parking and employee transportation fee issues.
Issues tenant, contractor, and selected Airport Board personnel parking permits, decals, devices and instructs proper usage. Receives returned access devices and parking decals; deactivates and files, recycles, or destroys.
Reviews applications and verifies employee headcount certification forms completed by tenants, contractors, and selected airport personnel; ensures applicants’ identity and appropriate authorizing signatures are present.
Troubleshoots parking, access, and device reader problems via screen or written documentation; enters changes as appropriate; refers unresolved issues to supervisor.
Collects fees for various parking devices, placards and decals, in accordance with the Schedule of Charges.
Posts and enters data into logbooks, spreadsheets, databases, and other record keeping systems. Assembles and files materials in alpha/numeric filing system.
Creates, compiles, prepares, and maintains a variety of statistical reports, either manually or automatically, using personal computer or system query.
Prepares correspondence in response to airport parking guest issues.
Prepares and maintains a variety of records and reports.
Maintains and files documents in manual and electronic filing systems.
What you need:
Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
Two (2) years of increasingly responsible administrative or customer relations work.
Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
Knowledge of business English and its proper use.
Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Knowledge of data entry procedures.
Knowledge of Microsoft suite.
Skill in the operation of a 10-key computer keyboard by touch.
Skill in recording and proofreading data.
Ability to assemble, analyzes, interpret and present data for use by management.
Ability to prepare and present concise oral and written reports.
Ability to operate personal computer for purpose of entering, organizing and retrieving data.
Ability to maintain effective working relationships with team and other work groups.
Ability to prepare written correspondence displaying basic Business writing and grammatical skills.
Ability to collect, analyzes, and evaluates facts and makes appropriate recommendations.
Ability to utilize specialized computer data bases.
Ability to meet and deal with Airport Board staff and the general public in order to exchange information and resolve operational problems.
