Job Overview
GENERAL SUMMARY
Under the general direction of the HR Operations Manager, this role will act as the first point of contact for employees, managers, and external parties, providing assistance and information related to HR policies, procedures, and programs.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responds to a wide range of HR-related inquiries through the myHR Solutions Hub, email, and phone calls, related to but not limited to benefits, payroll, leaves, policies, and procedures, and escalate issues to Centers of Excellence (COEs) within HR for additional support when appropriate.. Supports employee benefits enrollment, including health, retirement, and other employee benefits.
- Supports all HR Business Partners (HRBPs) with tasks and inquiries related to talent practices, employee engagement, total rewards, talent acquisition, performance management, succession planning, daily tasks, probationary appraisals, ad-hoc projects as needed, etc.
- Assists in the preparation, distribution, and maintenance of HR-related documents, such as email communication templates, job descriptions, and other HR forms.
- Prepares and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and necessary documentation for areas of responsibility.
- Generates and compiles HR reports as needed to assist management in decision-making and compliance monitoring.
- Assists managers with the employee termination process, including but not limited to ensuring appropriate documentation and processes are followed.
- Actively seeks ways to improve HR services, processes, and knowledge resources within the myHR Solutions Hub.
- Initiates Personnel Actions and Request to Fill as needed per request from the Solutions Hub; monitors the approval process and ensures completion in a timely manner.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Completion of high school curriculum or equivalent.
- Three (3) plus years of experience in a human resources or administrative support role.
- Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for the above.
- Possession of a valid Class C driver’s license.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Knowledge of current rules, regulations, laws, principles, practices, and policies related to human resources administration.
- Ability to compile and maintain detailed documentation and records regarding human resources programs.
- Skill with human resource management systems, such as PeopleSoft and Workday.
- Ability to understand and interpret current Airport Board policies, practices, and procedures.
- Ability to utilize exceptional communication skills to convey information clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, to individuals at all levels within and outside the organization.
- Ability to establish rapport with individuals from diverse backgrounds and varying levels of training.
- Ability to demonstrate organizational skills, including efficiently coordinating multiple tasks, prioritize among competing demands, and working effectively under time constraints to meet deadlines.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning when conducting research and analysis of a variety of HR programs.
- Ability to demonstrate problem-solving skills and the ability to handle a high volume of inquiries efficiently.
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
DESIRABLE
- Experience in an HR-related role, preferably in an HR call center or shared services environment.
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM Certification.
