We are in search of an experienced, reliable and fun teacher in a private education setting.
Must be able to plan/head an approved curriculum to meet a high standard of education .
Location: Fort Worth

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Valid Texas teaching license, required Teacher-elementary classroom endorsement (K-6), required Reading endorsement, preferred Performance Criteria: an ability to effectively apply that understanding to a team situation. . A solid understanding of and experience in using multiple teaching methods: collaborating, co-teaching, individualized instruction. Commitment to differentiated instruction.
- Evidence of effective routines and procedures that lead to a positive classroom environment that promotes student achievement. Evidence of effective routines and procedures that lead to a positive classroom culture of respect and rapport.
- Knowledge of various types of developmentally appropriate assessments of children. Understanding and experience with the workshop model and/or project based learning.
- Flexible, highly motivated, positive, and enthusiastic about working with children. Articulate in oral and written communications. Knowledge of and experience with using current technology to enhance learning.
- Knowledge of the 21st Century Skills and Universal Constructs and experience with ubiquitous integration of those competencies and habits of mind which may or may not be linked to The Leader in Me.
- Proven proactive and positive communication with parents and families. Knowledge of and experience with using current technology to enhance learning. Demonstrate an understanding of and ability to implement the Problem Solving Process and use data to support supplemental and/or intensive interventions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for literacy and math.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a positive learning environment for all students.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning needs, including special education.
- Foster effective communication with students, parents, and staff to support student development.
- Participate in professional development and collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational practices.
