Porter/Grounds Maintenance

Job Summary:
The Apartment Groundskeeper is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and overall upkeep of the property grounds, including lawn appearance, common areas, and exterior spaces. The role involves performing routine cleaning tasks, ensuring safety, and contributing to the property’s aesthetic appeal to enhance the living experience for residents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Landscaping and Lawn Care: Maintain the grounds, collecting litter, pet waste, and broken limbs.
• Cleaning and Maintenance: Regularly clean common areas such as parking lots, sidewalks, entryways, courtyards, and outdoor amenities. This includes removing trash, litter, and debris to ensure a clean and safe environment.
• Trash and Recycling Management: Ensure trash bins and recycling areas are emptied, clean, and properly maintained. Assist in managing waste disposal and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
• Inspection and Reporting: Monitor the condition of exterior property elements (such as fencing, lighting, and signage) and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management.
• Maintenance Assistance: Assist maintenance staff with minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs, fixing basic plumbing issues, or handling small maintenance tasks as needed.
• Safety and Compliance: Ensure the property complies with safety regulations and that grounds are free of hazards that could cause injury. Use appropriate safety equipment and follow company policies and procedures.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent service to residents and visitors by maintaining a friendly and helpful attitude, answering questions, and addressing any concerns related to the grounds.
• Event Setup (if applicable): Assist with setting up and maintaining areas for community events or resident activities, including cleaning up before and after events.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in groundskeeping, landscaping, or maintenance preferred.
• Ability to operate landscaping equipment such trimmers, and leaf blowers.
• Knowledge of safety procedures related to groundskeeping tasks and tools.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
• Good physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact positively with residents, staff, and vendors.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 A.M. - 5:30 P.M.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
