Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor the receiving status of shipments received to ensure turnaround times are met accordingly.
- Coordinate the packing process on shipments received, based off the packing instructions from the customer.
- Coordinate the delivery of shipments to the freight forwarder once packing is complete.
- Monitor daily to ensure all delivery instructions have been given and followed in a timely manner.
- Keep close communication with customer and the packing instructions they provide.
- Assist with invoicing shipments processed on a daily basis, and making sure files are in order and have proper documentation for billing.
- Provide excellent customer service to maintain and increase customer relations.
- Knowledge of 49CFR, IATA, IMDG and other regulations as applicable.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- 1 - 2 years experience working as DG Specialist with Hazardous Materials or Dangerous Goods
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of laws – DOT, IATA, IMDG,49 CFR and other applicable regulations
- Knowledge or experience with hazardous materials and/or cargo transportation a plus
- Must Successful completion of any IATA, IMDG, and 49 CFR training courses with a minimum score of 90%
- Knowledge of C2C & Dynamics software preferred
- Basics computer skills - Microsoft Software (Excel, Word, Outlook)

- Able to perform work indoors in an office environment, regardless of whether cubicle, open office or private office
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Able to demonstrate the manual dexterity to operate a personal computer effectively.
- Able to communicate orally in a clear manner.
- Able to hear oral communication either in person or on equipment such as telephone or mobile phone.
- Able to operate a personal computer, either desktop or laptop, for extended periods of time creating, composing and reviewing documents and spreadsheets.
- Able to operate office equipment, including telephone, mobile phone, photocopier, fax machine, scanner and calculator
- Ability to lift 10 lbs. occasionally for the duration of a shift
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
Housekeeping Key Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in individual workspaces and shared areas.
- Follow the company’s housekeeping policies and procedures during daily operations.
- Dispose of waste in designated bins and ensure materials are stored safely and properly.
- Report any unsafe or untidy conditions immediately to supervisors.
- Participate in periodic cleaning schedules as assigned.
