Architect - Azure Solutions

DGR Systems, a growing premier technology consulting company, is looking for an Azure Architect with an advanced focus on the design, implementation, and management of Azure solutions across customer projects.

This individual will provide technical direction and translate business requirements into secure and scalable Azure solutions related to computing, network, storage, monitoring, and security in the customer environment.  They will provide expert consulting in Azure Solutions as they relate to governance, data platforms, disaster recovery, virtualization, identity management, and IT operations to our customers.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator with an ability to simplify complex topics into clear messages and must be consultative in focus with a growth mindset and passion for continuous learning to bring the best solutions to our customers. The candidate will bring technical experience, team leadership and business acumen to DGR Systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy Azure solutions based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements, develop architectures, and propose solutions.
• Configure and optimize Azure infrastructure components such as compute, storage, networking, and security.
• Implement automation and orchestration tools to streamline deployment and operations.
• Monitor Azure environments, troubleshoot issues and perform proactive maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, guidelines, and procedures.
• Document designs, configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
• Stay current with Azure updates, new features, and industry trends.

• 8 years of experience in technology solutions, with 2 years in an Azure-focused role.
• Strong technical background in Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Azure Stack technologies related to Governance, Virtual Networking, Virtual Machines, Active Directory Domain Services, Load Balancing, Storage, Identity Management, Migrations and Implementations.
• Experience in designing and implementing Azure/Azure Stack solutions in complex enterprise environments including migration of on-premises resources to Azure solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework and Cloud Adoption Framework, including Azure landing zones.
• Proven track record of managing Azure projects and Azure technical operations.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to IAM (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and experience in ensuring compliance.
• Certifications such as AZ-305, AZ-304, AZ-204, AZ-104 are a plus.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proven track record of successfully delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Proven consultative mindset and experience with the ability to integrate complex elements and customer requirements into innovative technical architectures
• Demonstrated customer-focus solutions provider excelling at understanding customer needs and translating those needs to solutions
• Serves as a role model to others for translating complex and technical information
• Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort with both technical and non-technical audiences
