Offshore Fitter

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fitting and assembling components in accordance with specifications and blueprints. This role requires a strong understanding of various materials and techniques, as well as the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

• Interpret and analyze schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of fittings and assemblies.
• Utilize tools such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices to ensure precision in fitting components.
• Perform welding tasks as needed to secure fittings and ensure structural integrity.
• Execute pipe threading operations to prepare pipes for installation.
• Rig components safely and efficiently in accordance with industry codes and standards.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Operate forklifts for the movement of materials within the facility as required.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working with sheet metal and performing welding tasks.
• Strong understanding of codes and standards relevant to fitting operations.
• Proficient in basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with operating micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics effectively.
• Experience in rigging is preferred but not mandatory.
• Forklift certification is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
• Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.60 - $26.69 per hour
