We have an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment managing strategic business opportunities and engaging with key players around the network with the goal to deliver a successful and winning result. This position will be based in Miami, FL, however candidates in other Americas locations will be considered upon review of their qualifications.
The Head of Security and Operational Resilience Latin Americas will be responsible for developing and leading the implementation of security strategies to maximize the security of employees, customer shipments and company assets, prevent loss and damage in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies for DGF facilities and personnel in the LATAM Region. Principal advisor to Head, Security and Operational Resilience – America.
Specific Responsibilities :
- Provide expert input to define security strategy in line with business strategy and requirements, corporate guidelines and policies for 20 subordinate security professionals at DGF facilities in 14 LATAM locations.
- Prepare and lead implementation of security operational plans, measures and budgets to ensure security of all company property, employees and visitors.
- Plan and lead delivery of complex projects and initiatives to improve organization’s safety and security.
- Design and lead consistent implementation of security frameworks, programs and standards.
- Design and lead deployment of security procedures / programs, including conducting investigations, maintaining facility and office physical security, automated security systems and employee access rights to the facilities.
- Oversee conduct and reporting of all compliance investigations.
- Oversee orientation activities and coordination of security inspections in the operations facilities and administrative areas, direct changes in lay-out and installation of new security equipment to meet security rules and standards.
- Oversee inspection of grounds / organization’s facilities to ensure compliance to security and safety regulations.
- Establish contact and liaise with local law enforcement and government officials as required.
- Provide technical expertise and knowledge to advance internal and external security initiatives.
- Advise and train subordinate personnel on security protocols, and oversee all related audit activity to ensure compliance with organizational and government standards are met.
- Analyze complex security issues, identify opportunities for optimization and introduce best practices for security excellence focusing on increasing effectiveness and efficiency.
