POSITION SUMMARY :

Acts as a liaison between Hospital Business Office, RMF Administration and professional physician offices. Responsible for building relationships with leadership of the physician offices, training of staff and the Hospital Revenue Cycle to accomplish established goals of organization, as related to revenue cycle outcomes. Must have a thorough knowledge of revenue cycle and clinic operations to readily identify trends and workflows that are impacting successful revenue outcomes.

POSITION EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS :

  • GED or High school diploma preferred; some college preferred
  • Two years of management experience in clinic setting, required
  • Proficient in Microsoft office suite, Excel, WORD and power point in particular
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Team oriented and able to problem solve
  • Position requires travel, valid driver's license and vehicle insurance are required

JOB KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE :

  • Two (2) years of management experience in clinic setting, required.
  • Experience working with Excel spreadsheet is required
  • Previous experience with EMR systems
  • Responsibilities :

    POSITION RESPONSIBILITES :

  • Clinic Support
  • Schedules routine site visits to support in the resolution of any issues end users may be encountering as related to RMF revenue cycle functions -
  • Serves as a resource to practices for educating staff on accurate and appropriate revenue cycle workflow
  • Acts as a liaison between practices and Revenue Cycle leadership to identify and resolve issues related to claim processing, claim payments and denial resolution as related to workflows in clinics that can be improved for better revenue cycle outcomes
  • Participates in resolving difficult account matters and / or customer staff situations by analytically applying the health system policy and procedure
  • Training
  • Provide ongoing training on all Revenue Cycle processes to new and existing staff
  • Participates in education of new or refresher employees in Revenue Cycle Academy classes as requested
  • Attends seminars and weekly staff meetings
  • Communication
  • Provides communication to Revenue Cycle leadership regarding identified trends that need to be resolved to ensure optimal revenue cycle outcomes
  • Keeps applicable teams and team members involved in any changes that may affect workflow or revenue cycle outcomes
  • Provide documentation of site visits and findings to clinic and RMF Administration
  • Monthly audit checklist to be completed for each office
  • Maintain and reconcile project tracking task tool with expected due dates
  • Compliance
  • Maintain current working knowledge of changes in health care reimbursements
  • Follows all DHR Compliance Rules and Regulations
  • Follows all HIPAA regulations without exception
  • Review billing audit and reports requested by accounting and corporate compliance
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Provide excellent customer service to all DHR customers. All employees are required to attend the DHR C.A.R.E.S program which outlines the Customer Service Principals including : Commitment, Accountability, Respect, Excellence and Service.

    AGE SPECIFIC :

    Employees must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served in his / her assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of principles of growth and development over the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status and interpret the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirement relative to his or her age.

    B. Working Conditions : The individual spends over 95% of his / her time in an air-conditioned environment with varying exposures to noise. There is protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. The position does have low exposure to malodorous, infectious body fluids from patients and some minimal exposure to noxious smells from cleansing agents.

    C. Occupational Exposure : This position has minimal to no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues and is an OSHA Category III (although situations can be imagined or hypothesized under which anyone, anywhere, might encounter potential exposure to body fluids). Person who performs these duties are not called upon as part of their employment to perform or assist in emergency medical care or first aid or to be potentially exposed in some other way.
