Food and Beverage Supervisor
Salary $26.00 - $27.00 per hour
Position Summary
As the Food and Beverage Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing and supervising all aspects of the hotel's food and beverage operations, including complimentary services and banquets. Your role is crucial in ensuring success across various areas such as financial performance, cost control, guest satisfaction, and employee satisfaction. You will work diligently to maintain high standards and ensure that all operations run smoothly, contributing to the overall success and reputation of the hotel. Your leadership and attention to detail will be key in achieving these goals and creating a positive experience for both guests and staff.
Essential Functions
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the food and beverage department.
- Ensure quality and presentation standards are consistently met.
- Address guest comments and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Train staff for job competency, ensuring awareness of hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
- Monitor department to ensure compliance with brand requirements in both kitchen and front-of-house areas.
- Review standards to ensure alignment with brand and hotel requirements.
- Handle staff inquiries and issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Train, supervise, and monitor food sanitation and safety procedures in kitchen and dining areas.
- Collaborate with sales and housekeeping departments to ensure banquets meet BEO requirements and guest satisfaction.
- Exhibit positive leadership qualities that inspire employees to exceed standards and guest expectations.
- Manage training, development, and evaluation of all food and beverage employees.
- Ensure compliance with hotel and brand policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
Education and Experience:
- Previous food & beverage experience.
- Previous supervisor experience.
- Certificate in Food Sanitation a plus.
Skills and Abilities:
- Clear verbal and written communication skills
- Certified food handler
- Must be able to work in a fast pace and high volume environment
- Ability to motivate and train employees in guest services.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all work rules, policies and procedures established by the hotel, including but not limited to those contained in the employee handbook.
- The hotel operates 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Department schedules must accommodate fluctuating business demands and employees may be asked to work shifts other than those they prefer or normally work.
