Position Summary
Endocrinology Physician's office seeking MT/MLT to perform essential lab work for clinical testing. This is a full-time day shift position, working Monday - Friday, with flexible hours, and no weekends/holidays are required. Position has competitive salary, paid sick/vacation, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401k.
Essential Duties
• Adhere to and follow laboratory established procedures for processing, analyzing and reporting patient specimens, proficiency samples and quality controls. (moderate complexity)
• Attention to detail and the ability to follow SOPs is critical.
• Follow laboratory established quality control policies and protocols in recording readings, note deviations and document all corrective actions taken when deviations occur.
• Be capable of identifying problems that may affect test performance and turnaround time and immediately bring it to medical director’s attention.
• Ability to work independently.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory bench works.
• Help with phlebotomy when needed.
• Successfully complete all proficiency testing and inspections.
• Order medical supplies for lab and office.
• Help with billing when needed.
• Be capable to troubleshoot and problem solve laboratory issues independently.
Skills and Qualifications
• Detailed oriented, reliable, organized, and able to work independently
• At least 2 years of experience in a clinical/medical laboratory environment
• Education: MT/MLT with ASCP certification or equivalent required
Salary : $58,000 - $62,000
