We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Social Media Content Creator & Healthcare
Blog Writer to join our team on a freelance basis. This position requires a creative individual with a strong background in healthcare content creation, specifically working with doctors and medical professionals.
The ideal candidate will be experienced in crafting engaging social media posts and writing informative, patient-centered educational blogs.
The successful candidate will be adept at managing all major platforms including X (Twitter), Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn, and YouTube, while also creating in-depth blog content that educates patients on medical topics.
Responsibilities:
- Social Media Content Creation: Develop creative and engaging content for social media platforms, including text, images, and videos, tailored for the healthcare industry.
- Blog Writing: Write informative, patient-focused educational blogs on medical topics, procedures, treatments, and wellness tips. Content must be easy to understand, accurate, and relevant to a broad patient audience.
- Post Planning & Scheduling: Plan and schedule content in advance to ensure consistency and strategic timing across all social media channels.
- Insights Monitoring & Reporting: Regularly monitor post performance and provide insights into engagement rates, audience reach, and conversion metrics.
- Optimization: Ensure all posts and blogs are optimized for SEO, engagement, and shareability. Utilize best practices for each social media platform and blog SEO to maximize visibility.
- Healthcare Focused Content: Craft content that resonates with patients and healthcare professionals, emphasizing medical expertise, patient care, and community health.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends, medical news, and emerging tools to keep content fresh and relevant.
- Collaboration with Medical Professionals: Work directly with doctors and healthcare providers to understand their goals, tone, and target audience for each campaign or blog post.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media content creation and blog writing, particularly for the healthcare or medical field.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms (X, Meta, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube) and their best practices.
- Ability to create optimized content (copy, images, videos) that drives engagement and results.
- Strong writing skills with a focus on producing informative, clear, and patient-friendly blog posts.
- Familiarity with social media analytics tools to track performance and provide data-driven insights.
- Prior experience working with doctors or medical groups is a must.
- Knowledge of SEO and content optimization techniques for both social media and blog posts.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must have access to relevant tools for content creation (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite, WordPress, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years previous freelance or contract experience in social media management and blog writing.
- Experience in topics such as diabetic foot care, vein and vascular treatments a BIG plus.
- A background in digital marketing, communications, or a related field.
