Our Client is looking for a skilled ComAp Controls Engineer to design, develop, and implement complex control systems using ComAp technology and AutoCAD .
Position Summary :
As a ComAp Controls Engineer , you will be responsible for designing, programming, and commissioning advanced control systems for our CHP solutions. You will use ComAp controllers to develop custom logic and implement control strategies, while also creating detailed wiring schematics in AutoCAD to ensure the seamless operation of our power systems.
Key Responsibilities :
Control System Design & Implementation :
- Design and configure ComAp control systems for CHP applications, ensuring compatibility with electrical and mechanical components.
- Develop and program PLC and HMI logic within ComAp controllers to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with engineering and field teams to integrate control solutions into new and existing power systems.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, electrical codes, and customer specifications.
Electrical & Wiring Design :
Create detailed electrical wiring schematics using AutoCAD , incorporating all necessary components such as relays, breakers, communication networks, and instrumentation.Develop panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and interconnection drawings for control panels and field devices.Assist in selecting control and power distribution components based on system requirements.Testing & Commissioning :
Perform factory acceptance testing (FAT) and site commissioning of control systems to validate functionality.Troubleshoot and resolve control system issues during installation and post-deployment.Provide technical support to field service teams and customers.Documentation & Support :
Develop technical documentation , including control narratives, functional descriptions, and user manuals.Provide training to internal teams and customers on ComAp control system operation and troubleshooting.Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance system reliability and efficiency.Qualifications & Skills :
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).3 years of experience in designing and programming ComAp controllers for power generation or CHP applications.Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical schematic design.Strong knowledge of power generation, CHP systems, and electrical distribution .Experience with PLC programming, Modbus, CANbus, and other communication protocols .Familiarity with safety systems, generator synchronization, and load-sharing principles .Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose electrical and control system issues .Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.Willingness to travel for commissioning and support activities as needed.Preferred Qualifications :

Salary : $110,000 - $150,000
