What are the responsibilities and job description for the Patient Account Representative position at Diagnostic Clinic?
Description
Assists patients with questions regarding statements. Troubleshoots all billing issues a patient may have along with other insurance staff members on site and the provider offices. Arranges Payment Agreements for outstanding balances and accepts payments over the phone and enters them into our Online Payment Portal. Works tasks from any assigned queues. Follows-up on any un-resolved items, determines and applies appropriate adjustments, answers inquiries, and updates accounts as necessary. Professional phone etiquette required. Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
