Job Title: IOP (In Office Phlemotomist for two medical offices, one in Chandler (85226) and the other in Casa Grande AZ (85122)
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and compassionate IOP to join our healthcare team. As an IOP, you will collect blood samples for laboratory testing at both of our medical office locations: Chandler (85226) and Casa Grande AZ (85122). You will be responsible for performing venipunctures, ensuring proper specimen handling, and providing excellent customer service in the comfort of patients' homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws to collect blood samples from patients.
- Verify patient identification and ensure all necessary paperwork and consent forms are completed accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including infection control standards.
- Record patient information accurately in electronic health records or paper forms.
- Provide excellent patient care by explaining the procedure and addressing any concerns or anxieties.
- Follow established protocols for specimen handling and documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with lab standards.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when interacting with patients, healthcare professionals, and other team members.
- Stay updated on relevant industry standards and best practices in phlebotomy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited phlebotomy training program.
- Phlebotomy certification (e.g., from the American Society for Clinical Pathology [ASCP], National Phlebotomy Association [NPA], or similar certification body).
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Two years or more of experience in phlebotomy, preferably in a healthcare setting.
- Knowledge of blood collection techniques, safety protocols, and specimen handling procedures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients of varying ages and backgrounds.
- Ability to work independently and as a part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions precisely.
- Background check may be required.
Working Conditions:
1099 Contractor Opportunity
- Must have a reliable vehicle.
- Travel between two office locations Chandler (85226) and Casa Grande AZ (85122).
- Must be comfortable working in an office setting with a diverse patients.
Pay:
- $25 per hour.
- Average number of patients per day 5-6.
- Set schedule with Mondays off (Tuesday & Wednesday 1-4 PM @ Chandler medical office and Thursday & Friday 1-4 PM @ Casa Grande medical office)
