Diakon is seeking capable leaders to help its growing multi-client warehouse solutions, catering to diverse industries including furniture, appliances, mattresses, beverages, medical, hospitality, and retail. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Manager of Warehouse Operations to oversee our expanding operations. Diakon is headquartered in Austin, Texas. This role involves significant travel, with expectations up to 100%, to manage and optimize warehouse operations across multiple sites nationwide.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technology Solutions Oversight:
- Lead the strategic development and implementation of technology solutions, with a strong focus on AI to enhance logistics operations, predictive analytics, route optimization, and inventory management.
- Stay abreast of advancements in AI and logistics tech to continuously refine and innovate Diakon’s service offerings.
- Oversee technology solutions development, deployment and product offerings.
- Dispatch Office Management:
- Coordinate with dispatch team to ensure solutions and technology are best in class.
- Optimize dispatch operations by enhancing delivery accuracy, transparency and overall customer satisfaction.
- Administrative Oversight:
- Manage administrative functions related to logistics, ensuring compliance with industry standards through tech-enabled solutions.
- Implement and maintain administrative practices that support seamless operations across all client engagements.
- Custom Client Solutions:
- Develop and implement tailored logistics solutions that integrate AI for better decision-making, from bespoke packaging to specialized delivery schedules.
- Work closely with clients to understand their business models and operational needs, proposing and executing technology-driven solutions.
- Network Design:
- Design logistics networks based in historical trends and future projections for network optimization, route planning, capacity forecasting, and strategic facility placement.
- Continuously assess and adapt network design to meet both current and future client demands.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Serve as the key contact for strategic clients, ensuring satisfaction through technology-enhanced solutions.
- Lead client meetings and presentations, showcasing how technological solutions can drive efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and manage a team fostering an environment of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
- Drive training initiatives to keep the team current with the latest in logistics technology, particularly AI applications.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Main Skill: Proven expertise in developing and overseeing AI and technology solutions within logistics or supply chain management, with a minimum of 7 years in logistics and 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong analytical skills for network design and optimization, enhanced by AI.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities, adept at building and maintaining client relationships.
- Proficiency in logistics software, data analysis tools, and AI platforms.
