Dialed In...Gummies is expanding to Ohio and looking to open mid to late October!
The Artisanal Candy Production Manager is responsible for overseeing the production of cannabis infused candy and guides production specialists to meet hourly, daily and monthly goals as determined by the company. They are a direct report to the Director of Operations.
Essential Duties and Tasks:
- Oversee the operational management and business activities of the edibles kitchen, packaging, batching, hash and liquid gummies departments.
- Motivate your teams by providing encouragement, being a servant leader, and giving constructive feedback.
- Responsible for getting the kitchen, packaging, batching, hash and liquid gummies departments to achieve and surpass goals and objectives, that will maximize output and minimize cost resulting in higher profitability.
- Create, Maintain and update SOPs as needed for all production departments
- Implement SOPs, methods, policies, objectives to advance the department, and ensure continuing operations to increase productivity and guarantee regulatory compliance.
- Assist in creating SOPs and implementation for all production departments and oversee the daily workflow
- Execute the edibles production schedule with the Director of Operations
- Ensure quality, safety, METRC and Safe Serve standards are followed.
- Monitor performance of equipment and machinery in collaboration with the Director of Operations and Machine Operator
- Provide coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to production specialists.
- Operate as an inclusive leader; engage all associates in a manner that supports the company strategy and retention.
- Support inventory management of finished products.
- Ensure batch record accuracy is being kept by all departments
- Work interchangeably with packaging, kitchen, batching, hash, and liquid departments
- Execute gummy orders and Gummy pickups in coordination with the DOO
- Ensure that all QC/QA protocols are being followed and maintained.
- Follow and enforce all rules and regulations for food production, health and safety, and additional requirements set by the state and municipality in which we operate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Ability to wear PPE for the duration of shift (masked at all times when in the lab)
- Assist in training of new staff for all departments within DIG
- Own and update all SOPs within the production departments
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A high-touch, credible, visible leader who could establish instant credibility and inspire the team
- Highly experienced in data driven decision making
- Demonstrated track record in team building and driving operations efficiencies
- 3 years experience in manufacturing or logistics
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
- Outstanding people skills, organizational skills and a passionate leadership style
- A sense of urgency, high energy, and hands-on approach
- Computer and software fluent (Google Workspace, Leaf-Link, METRC)
- Over 21 years of age with the ability to obtain an MED badge
- Ability to pass a background check
- Valid Driver's License
- Complete discretion and confidentiality are always required in this position
- 2 years working in cannabis or other manufacturing
