Position Summary
The Technical Analyst takes direction from the Quality Assurance Manager and works hands-on with our engineering and product management teams to ensure that the feature development and enhancements to our Lottery and Slot Gaming products meet high quality standards from a business and functional perspective. In addition, the Technical Analyst will assist with technical support by phone, email, sometimes on site, and be a part of the On-Call rotation. The ideal candidate requires minimal supervision and can manage multiple assignments related to software and hardware testing based on product requirements and test goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform exploratory, functional, system, reliability testing and regression testing on all products, as requested by the QA Manager.
- Run hardware and software test scripts on multiple platforms (sometimes can be repetitive).
- Write detailed test cases based on requirements documentation.
- Write clear and concise defect reports.
- Install Windows operating systems, MS SQL 2005 and 2008.
- Troubleshoot issues with software, hardware, infrastructure and network.
- Able to quickly learn new technology and software applications.
- Must be able and willing to travel (sometimes last minute!) to UAT locations, certification labs and other locations requiring support in the US and Canada (about 25%).
- Consistently demonstrate the ability to practice Diamond Game's core values and apply them.
- Perform other tasks as needed and requested by management.
