Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in MEP construction and a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. This role provides the opportunity to contribute to challenging projects while growing your expertise in mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the management of MEP construction projects from pre-construction to closeout.
- Coordinate with project managers, field teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution of mechanical work.
- Review design drawings, submittals, and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Assist in project scheduling, cost control, and procurement of materials and equipment.
- Prepare and track RFIs, change orders, and project documentation.
- Conduct on-site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with design teams to address and resolve technical challenges.
- Analyze project data to ensure alignment with budgets, timelines, and objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in mechanical or MEP construction projects.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and piping.
- Proficiency in construction software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Procore) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with commercial or industrial construction projects.
- Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Modeling) software.
