What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Project Engineer position at Project Resource Collective?
- Project Engineer, 5-10 years working experience in RNG/Biogas Field.
- Landfill Gas & Biogas processing experience on RNG-EPC Projects.
- Will support the PM and entire Project Team on EPC Projects
- Coordinating Team Meetings and Weekly Calls with Consultants & Vendors, attending Customer Calls.
- Working with and supporting internally with Process and Mechanical Design Engineers
- Reviewing Drawings from Equipment Vendors and Skid Designers for accuracy and project specification compliance;
- Gas & Air Compressors, Pressure Vessels, CO2 Removal, N2 Removal, Chillers, Scrubbers, Flares, Oil & After Coolers, Thermal Oxidizers, etc.
- Reviewing Drawings & Submittals from Engineering Consultants and coordinating these between all Engineering Disciplines;
- Disciplines include: Architectural, Civil, Structural, Fire Protection, HVAC,
- Some Construction experience of RNG/Biogas Plants is preferred.
- Supporting On-site PM and Construction Management Team.
- Working with MEP Contractors to coordinate answers to RFI’s.
- Support Commissioning Teams where required.
- Limited Travel, but the ability to visit Project Sites is key for EPC-PE’s (Sites are all domestic US and frequency varies but typically 2-3 day trips, once a month).
- Typically; we find Mech Eng and Chem Eng are the ideal candidates.
- Remote working is fine for the right candidate, but local to LB Office would be preferred for office visits.
Qualifications
· 8 to 10 years of engineering experience in mechanical disciplines respective of Professional Engineer License, advanced certificates and degrees.
· In-depth knowledge of engineering principles, oil and gas industry equipment, process systems and operations.
· Knowledge of applicable codes (ASME & API) and standards.
· Experience supervising and reviewing work performed by engineers, designers and contractors
· Experience construction work.
· Experience working with other engineering disciplines.
· Experience preparing specifications, calculations, studies, budget estimates and schedules.
· Experience leading, collaborating and communicating with teams.
· Process or mechanical Bachelor’s degree or higher in appropriate discipline from an accredited University.
· Preferred active Professional Engineer (PE) license or demonstrated ability to obtain active PE license within six months.
· Proficient in the use of computer programs such as AutoCAD, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook.
· Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal and computer skills.
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
