As a Mechanical Project Estimator, you will be responsible for accurately estimating mechanical piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems for a wide range of multifamily & commercial construction projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for mechanical piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems for multifamily & commercial construction projects.
- Collaborate with project teams, engineers, and contractors to understand project scope and requirements.
- Develop material takeoffs, labor costs, and equipment requirements for all mechanical systems.
- Review project plans and specifications to identify potential challenges, risks, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Analyze and compare vendor and subcontractor quotes, ensuring the best value and quality.
- Assist with bid preparation, including writing proposals and presenting estimates to clients.
- Work closely with the project management team during the pre-construction phase to ensure smooth project execution.
- Maintain accurate records of all estimates, revisions, and project documents.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience estimating mechanical piping, HVAC, and plumbing systems, preferably in multifamily construction.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems (piping, HVAC, plumbing) and how they integrate within multifamily construction.
- Excellent knowledge of estimating software, tools, and systems.
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Proven experience with cost analysis, vendor management, and subcontractor selection.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal teams, clients, and external partners.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field is a plus but not required.
