Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Mechanical Project Manager to lead and oversee plumbing construction projects for ground-up K-12, medical, and industrial buildings. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead plumbing construction projects from start to finish, ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality delivery.
- Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets, coordinating with internal teams and subcontractors for timely completion.
- Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a positive work environment and supporting professional growth.
- Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring clear communication, prompt issue resolution, and high customer satisfaction.
- Manage project expenses, address cost challenges, and keep stakeholders informed of financial status.
- Collaborate with other project managers, engineers, architects, and stakeholders for seamless system integration.
- Ensure plumbing and HVAC installations comply with safety regulations, building codes, and industry standards.
- Identify and resolve project challenges to keep the project on track.
- Maintain accurate records and provide regular updates to senior management and clients on project progress.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of project management experience, focusing on plumbing and mechanical construction for K-12, medical, or industrial projects.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple projects.
- Strong understanding of HVAC and plumbing systems, installation techniques, and codes. Integration experience is a plus.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Microsoft Project).
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to maintain schedules and budgets.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Preferred degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. PMP or LEED certifications are a plus.
- Preferred OSHA 30-hour or similar safety certifications.
