As a Project Manager specializing in mechanical construction, you will oversee HVAC, piping, and plumbing installations for multifamily construction projects. Key Responsibilities :
Project Management : Lead and manage HVAC, piping, and plumbing construction projects for multifamily buildings from initiation to completion, ensuring projects meet quality standards, are on time, and within budget.
Planning & Scheduling : Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all work is completed on time. Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and in-house teams to keep projects on track.
Budget Management : Prepare and manage project budgets, track costs, and ensure profitability while identifying potential cost-saving opportunities.
Client & Stakeholder Communication : Serve as the main point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project status, resolve issues promptly, and ensure satisfaction.
Team Leadership : Supervise and direct project teams, including foremen and subcontractors. Foster a positive, collaborative environment focused on achieving project goals.
Quality Control & Safety : Ensure all mechanical systems and installations meet safety regulations and quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety.
Problem Solving : Address and resolve any on-site challenges, such as delays, material shortages, or technical issues.
Documentation & Reporting : Maintain accurate records of project progress, expenses, change orders, and other relevant documents. Provide regular reports to senior management and clients.
Risk Management : Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, including safety hazards, scheduling conflicts, and budget overruns.
Qualifications :
Experience : 3 years of experience in mechanical construction, with at least 3 years in project management, particularly on multifamily HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects.
Knowledge : Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems in construction. Familiarity with relevant building codes and safety regulations.
Skills : Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively with internal and external teams.
Education : Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred) or equivalent experience.
Travel : Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time between project sites in Cincinnati and Columbus, OH.
Certifications : PMP (Project Management Professional) or other relevant certifications (preferred).
