What your day will look like:
- Oversee and ensure the quality of work being completed, keeping everything in line with the specs and blueprints
- Lead and motivate a skilled team of craft workers, ensuring they’re working efficiently and safely
- Keep projects on track by managing schedules, estimating worker-hour needs, and ensuring everything’s up to code
- Release shop drawings and spool drawings on time to make sure field installations go smoothly
- Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to your team, ensuring productivity and safety are top priorities
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with safety standards, holding your team accountable for hazard reporting and pre-task planning
- Manage resources efficiently—tools, manpower, and inventory—so that no time is wasted
- Monitor project costs closely and find ways to save money without sacrificing quality
What you’ll need to succeed:
- At least 5 years of experience in the industry with a solid track record of leadership
- In-depth knowledge of International Codes and HVAC/plumbing systems
- OSHA 30-hour certification and a strong understanding of safety regulations
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus, but not required
- A proven ability to handle personnel issues with confidence
- Strong mechanical, administrative, and analytical skills
- Comfort with technology—whether it's using Microsoft Teams, Procore, BIM, or mobile devices to stay connected
