Job description
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Individual to join our Substance Abuse and Mental Health Admissions team. The willingness to learn, the ability to be on time, and the desire to help others is all that is expected to land this job. We will provide all necessary training and tools to succeed. This job is in person, at our corporate office. Our team handles all admission inquires over the phone, and we utilize our software. So having knowledge of computers and how to speak to people is vital.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments and evaluations of individuals seeking admission for substance abuse treatment.
- Coordinate with the admissions team to review client information accurately and efficiently.
- Provide compassionate support to individuals and their families in crisis.
- Collaborate with the clinical staff to develop treatment plans based on clients' needs and resources.
- Maintain confidential client records and documentation.
- Answer phone calls and provide information about our treatment programs and services.
- Assist in arranging transportation for clients, when necessary.
- Follow up with clients who have expressed interest in our treatment programs
- Collaborate with insurance companies to ensure accurate billing information.
- Stay up to date on substance abuse treatment and admissions developments.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of substance abuse treatment modalities
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and handle emergency situations.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Understanding of patient confidentiality laws and ethical guidelines.
- Willingness to work night shifts and weekends as required.
