What are the responsibilities and job description for the Supplier Quality Engineer - FC position at Diamond Ridge Construction?
The Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) will be responsible for disposition within the Non-Conformance Review (NCR) process, root cause & corrective actions, supplier development, new supplier on-site audits & surveys, Engineering Change Requests (ECR’s) & deviation requests, metrics, reports, analysis, etc. The SQE will find root causes of defects and develop long term solutions assisting suppliers with Corrective Action Reports (CAR’s). The SQE will review contract inspection requirements with the Pleasant Prairie Plant team and make the appropriate preparations to exceed customer expectations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities :
The Supplier Quality Engineer will :
- Provide technical expertise and leadership for the timely resolution of manufacturing process and product design problems and evaluating NCR’s.
- Serve as the primary resource at Pleasant Prairie Plant for root cause analyses, investigations, statistical studies, and problem solving. Identify and evaluate supplier NCR’s, contact suppliers directly as required to drive root cause corrective actions.
- Visit suppliers to review NCR’s, scorecards, and scorecard reports; as well as, performing GAP audits, recommending QA / QC process improvements, sharing modern packaging protection and proper packing lists to suppliers, and advising on how to mature QMS manual.
- Develop, plan, execute, and maintain a CAR program for suppliers with appropriate forms, meetings, and reports. Communicate status of CAR program with a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual report.
- Review, advise, and coordinate investigations / root causes for Supply Chain related Field Service Trouble Reports (FSTR’s) relating to supplier accountability.
- Train team members on inspection techniques, reporting, and documentation.
- Evaluate and implement innovative, cost-effective manufacturing / quality assurance processes to improve the level of inspection consistency, thoroughness, and throughput at the Pleasant Prairie Plant.
Salary : $72,000 - $85,000
