What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Lead position at Diamond Services?
Position Goal
To effectively oversee day to day operations of the warehouse in a manufacturing setting. This position reports directly to the Production Foreman.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
The Warehouse Lead performs a wide range of duties including some or all of the following:
Organization
- Maintain 5S organization of all items stored in the warehouse and yard.
- Glass storage
- Tools and consumables storage
- Flange and parts storage
- All parts, pieces and finished goods stored in yard
Inventory Control
- Shipping and receiving of raw materials
- Documentation and labeling of raw materials
- Weekly raw material inventory
- Assist Operations Manager with EOM Inventory
Job/Project Preparation
- Pull and stage job carts
- Assist Field Techs/PM’s in job prep and pulling
- Assist Field Techs/PM’s in shipping items to job sites
- Ensure point of use consumable areas are stocked
Shop Truck/ Telehandler Forklift
- Primary owner/operator of the Telehandler Forklift
- Daily Maintenance Checklist
- Shop Truck (Ford Flatbed) Maintenance
- Monitor and notify Operations Manager of needed maintenance
- Keep truck clean and organized
- When used by Team Members, ensure it is returned in the same manner it was taken
