What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Accountant position at Diamonds International?
Responsibilities
- Manage AP – input invoices, pay vendors, prepare vendor reconciliations, and ensure AP Aging is ‘clean’ and ties to the GL.
- Manage AR – ensure all billing is completed and AR Aging is ‘clean’ and ties to the GL.
- Record monthly journal entries (including but not limited to cash disbursements and deposits).
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., bank reconciliations, fixed assets roll-forward, intercompany reconciliation, etc.)
- Prepare monthly sales reconciliation.
- Perform monthly trend analysis/analytics on expenses.
- Assist with the preparation of the monthly accounting and financial reporting deck.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit.
- Assist with tax filings and other external compliance.
- Ensures the integrity of Accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions
- Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other documents.
- Assist with ad hoc requests.

Education and Experience
- Undergraduate Degree in Accounting
- 4 years’ experience in Corporate Accounting/Finance
- Auditing experience preferred.
- QuickBooks experience is a plus
- Excel proficient (V-lookups, Pivot tables, etc.)
