Their practice areas include default, bankruptcy, corporate services, appellate and commercial litigation, as well as real estate transactions. We are seeking well qualified Legal Assistants to join our firm in a multitude of departments such as Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, Office Services, Estate Planning, Probate, and Real Estate. Depending on your experience and prior knowledge, we will place you within a department that will maximize your productivity and potential for growth within the firm!
Foreclosure Responsibilities :
- Preparation of legal documents which could includes complaints, judgments, affidavits drafting
- Schedule hearings and mediations
- E-file in various portals
- Monitor, communicate and ensure compliance with client directives using client systems
- Enter information into multiple case management systems
- Create documents utilizing forms and templates
- Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties
Bankruptcy Responsibilities :
Prepare and submit bankruptcy pleadings, notices, and letters for attorney and client review. This includes documents such as Motions for Relief, Proofs of Claim, Objections to Plan, Reaffirmation Agreements, Transfer of Claims, NOPC and Notice of Default referrals.Review foreclosure files to determine appropriate chain of title and proceed with correction methods if needed.Adjust pleadings according to attorney and client revision requests.Process court results by updating the case management system and client websites.Update client websites, including BKFS, Tempo, ADR, and others, daily.Electronically file bankruptcy pleadings.Review and handle ECF (Electronic Case Filing) notifications, forwarding emails to attorneys as needed.Schedule attorneys or Co-Counsel to appear at hearings when necessary.Notify clients of new bankruptcy filings and bankruptcy dismissals.Monitor bankruptcy files to ensure compliance with client and court requirements.Request fee approvals for bankruptcy files.Estate Planning, Probate, and Real Estate Responsibilities :
Prepare and draft various legal documents including deeds, affidavits, power of attorneys, tax forms, closing documents, estate planning and probate documents.Ensure that all documents are completed with precision and submitted within the required deadlines per order.Handle an average of 6 - 8 orders with revision resolution daily, with potential variability in order volume and timing.Create and manage files in our case management system, incorporating documents provided by our clients and drafting the necessary legal documents.Review drafted documents for accuracy and completeness before submitting them for attorney review.Revise documents as necessary based on attorney feedback and submit to our clients, as required.Work directly with our clients to ensure that all document preparation aligns with their requirements.Maintain effective communication with our clients and internal teams to manage and track order statuses and revisions.Qualifications :
