What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Coordinator, Product Development & Packaging position at DIBS Beauty?
DIBS is seeking a Project Coordinator reporting to the Head of Product Development and Packaging. This is an exciting opportunity to join a young brand in high-growth mode (including a rapid expansion in Ulta Beauty) with the ability to make your mark and strongly influence the brand’s pipeline. This position is responsible for coordinating the operations of the Product Development department, as well as specific projects and initiatives across the function.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Coordinate Product Development Processes: Assist the Head of Product Development in all aspects of managing new product development, including coordinating meetings, timelines for sample reviews and production decisions, industry research and coordinating with marketing/influencer teams for product releases.
- Vendor Management: Manage projects with global manufacturers, packaging vendors, and raw material suppliers to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions; oversee QA control and improvements for new and existing programs.
- Timelines: Maintain and update project timelines to ensure that they align with cross-departmental expectations.
- Industry Research: Competitive analysis and research, particularly in shade development, product trends and benchmarks for new and existing products and product extensions.
- Compliance and Sustainability: Guarantee all products and packaging meet regulatory, safety, and environmental standards across all markets.
- Artwork Briefing and Management: Manage and execute artwork needs in collaboration with cross-functional team members to ensure accuracy, proof-reading, regulatory approvals, and ensuring it meets all deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: 2 years of product development and packaging experience in the beauty industry. Recent experience in color cosmetics is highly preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail, especially with respect to spelling and grammar, ingredient lists, regulatory requirements and packaging consistency.
- Project Management: Exceptional organizational skills.
- Start-up Mentality: Self-starter with willingness to lean into difficult or unfamiliar tasks, as well as ability to travel and perform errands (e.g., mailings and gifting) on short notice.
- Comfortable with Remote Work: Ability to work quickly, take initiative, and work independently without supervision.
- Highly Self Motivated: Passionate individual with a strong sense of urgency, energy and integrity.
WORKING CONDITIONS
- This is a fully remote position with expected travel to NY and Los Angeles for trade shows and in-person team meetings.

This job is primarily remote, but a New York base is preferred. The base salary range is ~$55,000.
