Power BI developer
Contract, hybrid, 2-3 days a week in office in Minneapolis:
Top Must Have Skills:
- Exceptional SQL skills
- Expertise in Windowed functions
- Performance tuning.
- Has direct experience building and troubleshooting complex views and stored procedures.
- Understands the difference between CTEs, temp tables, variable tables and the appropriate time to use them.
- Has created SQL tables and know the nuances of indexing practices.
- Has worked in a Datawarehouse environment before leveraging type 2 SLD.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI
- Data modeling techniques
- Report performance optimization best practices
- Visualization design
- Power Query
- DAX
- Has extensive experience working in the Power BI service
- Has administered power BI workspaces, pushing from dev->test->prod and updating associated apps.
- Understands Power BI Deployment pipelines
- Experience with Power BI GIT workspace integration
- Communication Skills - Will need to work directly with the business and IT Leadership.
- Needs to speak clearly and concisely.
- Will be managing relationships with stakeholders in the business.
- Will need to be prompt following up with support incidents.
