Delivery Driver/ Yard Associate

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle loading and unloading tasks efficiently. The Delivery Driver will operate various vehicles, mowers, etc while adhering to all safety regulations. This position will assemble equipment, load customers, and help with facility chores as needed.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, to transport goods to designated locations.
• Load and unload products using pallet jacks and forklifts as necessary.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time while following the designated routes.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by interacting positively with clients during deliveries.
• Maintain accurate delivery records, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff regarding inventory levels and delivery schedules.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with warehouse operations is a plus.
• Ability to operate pallet jacks, forklifts, and other loading equipment safely.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; commercial driving experience is a plus.
• Ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading goods.
• Must be detail-oriented and organized in managing delivery schedules and documentation.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
