We are seeking experienced and results-driven Grant Writers to serve nonprofit clients by writing and submitting well-researched and compelling grant proposals. As an independent contractor, you will work with a diverse range of organizations, crafting tailored grant applications to secure funding primarily from private foundations.
Key Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and submit (internally) persuasive grant proposals and reports.
- Maintain a deep understanding of client programs, goals, and impact to effectively articulate funding needs.
- Develop grant budgets and narratives in collaboration with clients and internal DickersonBakker support teams.
- Ensure compliance with grant guidelines, deadlines, and submission requirements.
- Assist in follow-up reporting as required.
- Proven experience in grant writing, with a track record of securing funding from foundations and corporations.
- Strong research and writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and compelling narratives.
- Familiarity with nonprofit fundraising, budgeting, and program development.
- Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, able to manage multiple projects independently.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google docs, and/or grant management software.
- Experience in one or more nonprofit sectors such as education, human services, Christian ministry, healthcare, or international development.
- Knowledge of grant databases and research tools.
- This is a 1099 independent contractor role, allowing for flexible scheduling and remote work.
- Compensation is based on project scope and experience.
