Essential Functions:
- Under the supervision of the Curator of Education, develop and deliver education programs to K‐12 school groups and audiences enrolled in summer programs
- Manage reservations, student staffing, materials, and work spaces used for extramural group programs.
- Manage museum community days and on‐site events including Saturday programming.
- Assist The Curator of Education in managing campus programs that introduce the Dickinson community to museum studies and The Trout Gallery
- Manage the museum’s participation in selected local festivals and events.
- Assist The Curator of Education in developing teacher‐training programs for Dickinson students working in Education at The Gallery: mentor and provide feedback regarding art education.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Works on‐site up to two Saturdays per month. Supports Trout Ambassador and Dickinson campus initiatives related to art‐making and graphic design. Maintain and organize art supplies, equipment, and space in the museum’s Mumper Stuart Education Center. Drives student staff to community outreach locations. Attend professional conferences and keep abreast of trends in the field of art education. Attending museum openings and other events to maintain campus and community relationships
