Job Title: IPI Academic Coach - Language Arts and Math
Immediate Supervisor: IPI Leadership Team and Site Coordinator
Salary: Hourly Wage

Specific Duties
Assist in preparation and monitoring of daily snack distribution and enrichment programming.
Assist with sign-in of students for IPISJC Pathways. Monitor student behavior.
Provide homework assistance to students as needed.
When requested, keep parents/guardians informed of student homework progress and improvements.
Instruct and monitor students in the use of enrichment materials and equipment. Lead enrichment sessions as outlined by the program leadership.
Complete other tasks as requested by the Site Coordinator.
Become familiar with on-line resources for academic enrichment and how to access
them.
Become familiar with IPISJC Pathways Enrichment curriculums. Monitor students while community partners are leading activities.
Communicate with coaches whose athletes are attending regarding schedules. Make proper use of Disciplinary Referral forms when necessary.
Requirements
Indiana Teaching License
Reliable transportation.
Excellent record in previous employment. Excellent attendance record.
Criminal background check required.
Previous experience working with students in a diverse setting.

Basic Responsibilities
Exhibit an understanding of IPISJC Pathways procedures and expectations as outlined in the staff handbook.
Encourage the progress of individual students. Maintain an inviting, safe, orderly environment.
Be responsible for classroom management and student discipline. Be responsible for maintenance of the program area.
Know emergency procedures.
Record daily census as instructed by the site coordinator.
