What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician-Research position at Didion Orf Recycling?

Duties/Responsibilities:
· Identify IT equipment, components, and parts of value.
· Research, valuate, and prepare items for resale.
· Inventory equipment in preparation for sales team.
· Repair and part out electronic equipment such as Servers, PC’s, laptops, and networking equipment.
· Perform diagnostic tests on electronic equipment documenting cosmetic and functional deficiencies.
· Test functionality of components, including video cards, controllers, power supplies, and HBA’s.
· Document and enter data into systems.
· Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
· Degree in Information Technology or related field of study, preferred.
· Certifications with Microsoft or Cisco, preferred.
· 3 years technical experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
· Advanced understanding of PCs, computer software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
· Hands on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical hardware or software issues.
· Good data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
· Understands the value of IT type product.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
· Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
· Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers.
