What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Technician-Research position at Didion Orf Recycling?

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Identify IT equipment, components, and parts of value.
- Research, valuate, and prepare items for resale.
- Inventory equipment in preparation for sales team.
- Repair and part out electronic equipment such as Servers, PC’s, laptops, and networking equipment.
- Perform diagnostic tests on electronic equipment documenting cosmetic and functional deficiencies.
- Test functionality of components, including video cards, controllers, power supplies, and HBA’s.
- Document and enter data into systems.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
- Degree in Information Technology or related field of study, preferred.
- Certifications with Microsoft or Cisco, preferred.
- 3 years technical experience.
Required Qualifications/Skills:
- Advanced understanding of PCs, computer software, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
- Hands on experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving technical hardware or software issues.
- Good data entry skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and prioritize workflow.
- Understands the value of IT type product.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time (up to 8 hours).
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to communicate with customers and coworkers.
