The Team Lead is responsible for setting the work standard, providing assistance, direction, guidance to employees and is the backup support to the Warehouse Supervisor.
Duties/Responsibilities
· Assist with training team members.
· Delegate/assign tasks and roles to team to maintain constant flow of operations.
· Conduct weekly toolbox talks.
· Coach employees and ensure all are working safely and following company procedures.
· Work with shipping and receiving staff to:
o Inspect and inventory all incoming and outgoing materials.
o Verify items received with ERP System.
o Ensure all material is packaged and labeled correctly.
o Perform quality control checks on purchased material.
o Load and unload trailers and containers quickly and safely utilizing sit down forklift.
o Accurately document incoming/outgoing weights.
o Prioritize tasks and organize efforts to maximize department efficiencies.
o Provide necessary materials to dismantling team to maintain constant workflow.
· General housekeeping, maintaining a clean and safe work area.
· Other duties as assigned.
Skills/Qualifications
- 2 years sit down forklift experience
- Some experience leading teams
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic computer skills required
Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and every third Saturday from 8:00 am to noon.
