Diesel Mechanic Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Diesel Direct in East Providence, RI.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect and maintain diesel equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with engines and other systems
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks as required
- Interpret work orders and technical manuals to complete tasks efficiently
- Test repaired equipment to ensure it meets manufacturer specifications and regulations
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Experience working with oil and fuel trucks is a plus
- Able to supply own tools
- Ability to recognize vehicle maintenance needs and interpret policies and procedures
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing technology
Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Able to work independently or as part of a team
