Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as a Automotive Dismantling Assistant/warehouse hand. This position offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and valuable skills in the automotive parts industry while working alongside experienced technicians. You will play a vital role in the disassembly and inspection of diesel engines, identifying salvageable components, and ensuring their safe and efficient removal. The perfect candidate is self-motivated, poses a positive misdemeanor, and enjoys working in a fast-paced teamwork environment.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in dismantling diesel trucks and parts according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Help with the removal and labeling of parts for inventory purposes.
- Clean and prepare salvaged parts for resale.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Support Engine Dismantling Technician with other tasks as needed.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Bilingual and in Spanish Preferred.
- Previous experience in a mechanical or automotive environment is preferred.
- A basic understanding of diesel engines and automotive systems is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely.
- Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and grow within the role.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stoop, bend and kneel, push and pull
- Carry and lift heavy objects (up to 75lbs)
- Standing, sitting and walking
- Performing repetitive motion.
