Retail Banking Leads are frontline task experts who are responsible for assisting the Retail Banking Manager in overseeing daily operations and frontline performance within the branch.
Retail Banking Leads are the first line of assistance to the frontline retail banking staff. This position is responsible for building loyalty to the organization, training, and overseeing frontline tasks. Retail Banking Leads are responsible for addressing compliance and task-related performance issues by offering assistance, retraining, and oversight as necessary. They gladly perform frontline duties as needed and in a manner that consistently models Dieterich Bank's standards of superior quality and service and are fully compliant with industry regulations.
Essential Duties:
- Train employees on all frontline tasks.
- Contribute to the performance appraisal process of frontline staff by providing input to the Retail Banking Manager as needed.
- Demonstrate the ability to independently make and communicate sound decisions based upon Bank policies, knowledge, and experience.
- Verify that all policies and procedures are followed and that the risk of fraud is minimized.
- Support the business development and community involvement of every Dieterich Bank representative in regard to staffing, coverage, etc.
- Recommend new products/services, systems/policies, etc. to improve Bank performance.
- Ensure that Bank policies and procedures as well as industry regulations are met.
- Exercise good judgment and be alert to possible fraud.
- Craft a culture that includes a positive work atmosphere of mutual respect.
- Manage multiple tasks and respond to pressure and change with poise and confidence.
- Support the Retail Banking Manager on reaching performance goals both individually and at the branch level.
- Assist other branches as needed for staffing which may include travel.
- Maintain confidentiality of customer and employee information.
Secondary Duties:
- Promote Dieterich Bank within the community.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Ability to make texture judgments in verifying the authenticity of currency
- Knowledge of the Bank's products and services

- Must possess excellent communication skills and consultative skills to identify a client's financial needs. Additionally, must be able to communicate with customers well on a daily basis face-to-face or by telephone.
- Ability to proofread and verify written materials. In addition, read and process written and numerical information.
- Relationship management skills
- Maintain accuracy by consistently remaining detail-focused and have the ability to organize efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Must demonstrate ethical conduct
- Time management skills
Work Schedule:
This position requires 40 hours each week with a Saturday rotation based on the branch needs.
Education and Experience:
- Associates degree preferred or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in customer service with banking experience being a plus, but not required
