Responsibilities

- Review patient records for accuracy and completeness before billing.
- Utilize coding systems such as ICD-10 and ICD-9 to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical coding guidelines and regulations.
- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or billing information.
- Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process effectively.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies related to medical billing.
- Collaborate with the accounts receivable team to reconcile payments and resolve issues.
Skills
