Digestive Disease Consultants is a busy gastroenterology practice located in Altamonte Springs with satellite locations in Lake Mary and Oviedo. We are seeking a dynamic, organized, and professional medical receptionist to join our team.
Position Requirements :
Excellent customer service skills with patients, employees, and the public.
Good organizational skills.
Multitask with accuracy and efficiency.
Float to our Altamonte, Lake Mary, and Oviedo locations.
Minimum of one year of medical receptionist experience required.
Knowledge of ECW and Phreesia is preferred but not required.
Basic computer knowledge of Windows and Outlook.
Duties and Responsibilities :
Greet patients as they arrive to our office.
Obtain and verify patient demographic and insurance information.
Scanning patient information into our EMR.
Collecting patient copay and possible past due balances.
Scheduling follow-up appointments.
Calling to confirm / reschedule upcoming appointments.
Help maintain the cleanliness of the front desk and waiting area.
Assist with the faxes and forwarding information to the proper employee / provider.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements :
Ability to sit for extended periods of time.
Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time.
Ability to perform repetitive hand and wrist motions for extended periods of time.
Ability to converse and hear over the phone and in person in a professional manner.
